Rua da Assunção is located within the World Heritage Area of the Historic Center of Porto. What makes this narrow, short, cobblestone street famous is the Clérigos Church with its 75.6-meter-high bell tower on the north side of the street and the retro trams that run along the street.
The south side of the street is lined with colorful buildings decorated with azulejos, among which are tourist information centers, restaurants, and ice cream stores. Enjoy the scenery of the lively street even on a rainy day, with tourists enjoying a walk with umbrellas and tuk-tuks equipped with plastic curtains to protect them from the rain.
