NEW! Added View of Cape Hachiman
Cape Hachiman juts out into the Pacific Ocean in the southeastern part of the Boso Peninsula. During the Sengoku period, there was Katsuura Castle in the area, and the cape got its name from the Hachiman Shrine that was built within the castle grounds. Today, the area has been developed as a park, and it is a fun spot to visit, with a shrine within the grounds and walking paths. From the tip of Cape Hachiman, you can see the Katsuura Lighthouse and the vast panorama of the Pacific Ocean stretching out as far as the eye can see. The sunrise is especially beautiful. Enjoy the scenery that is perfect for the start of the year, as the sun rises over the horizon and renews your spirit.
