Morning in Nafplio
Nafplio, a port town at the head of the Argolic Gulf in the eastern Peloponnese, has a long and fascinating history. A city has existed here since ancient times, and from the Middle Ages onward, Nafplio developed as a fortified city under various rulers. Today, the old town around the harbor is filled with narrow, flower-lined streets, cozy hotels, and restaurants serving fresh seafood, creating a lively yet relaxed atmosphere.
On the southern hill of the small peninsula stands Acronauplia Fortress, which has played an important role in Nafplio's history. From here, you can look out over the old town spreading across the northern side of the peninsula. Enjoy the early-morning view as the sky gradually brightens and the town slowly comes to life with color, as if you've woken up a little earlier than usual.
